Fibre to Premises (FTTP)

Fibre to the premises (FTTP), also known as ultrafast full fibre broadband, involves laying fibre optic cables directly from the broadband exchange right into your home. It can offer speeds of up to 1,000Mb (megabits per second) – around 30 times faster than standard fibre

Fibre to Cabinet (FTTC)

Fibre to the cabinet broadband (or FTTC for short) is an internet connection that runs along fibre optic cables from the telephone exchange to the (usually green) roadside cabinet. Standard copper telephone lines are then used to deliver broadband from the cabinet to various properties in the area.

Gigafast fibre leased lines

A leased line is a dedicated fixed-bandwidth data connection. The word ‘leased’ refers to the connection rented by the Internet Service Provider directly to a business.
